Before and after comparison of a large surgery scar on a pitbull's abdomen treated with Lavengel

Senior Pitbull Spleen Surgery Scar

Eric J's 14-year-old Pitbull had his spleen removed to be tested for cancer. Eric noticed that his dog had developed hot spots (acute moist dermatitis) during his hospital stay. He decided to try Lavengel® on them, as well as the surgical incision line since he believed the gel's antibacterial properties would help prevent infection.

While he did not get to try Lavengel® on his senior pal's hot spots, Eric did give it a trial on the surgical scar. Here's what he had to say after applying the gel for just over two weeks:

"We think that his hot spots were something he picked up during his 3-day stay in the kennel at the vet center. He got a surge of antibiotics post-surgery, so the hot spots cleared up before we were able to apply Lavengel®.

Nevertheless, we kept applying it to the surgery site, and this is about the cleanest scar I've ever seen.

You were happy to help at a time when I was afraid for his life (thankfully biopsies all came back negative). From the bottom of my heart, thank you.”
