Donut Worry: Dunkin's First Hot Spot

Dry air and heat can do a number on a dog's skin. Desert-like climates can dry out the top layer of the epidermal barrier, resulting in cases of canine dermatitis and hot spots. Dunkin the dog (stylishly pictured below) found himself in this very situation getting his very first hot spot, and like many dog parents, the initial reaction was filled with anxiety.

Thankfully, his owners did their research and found Lavengel® - the ultimate canine hot spot soother (in our humble opinion). Here's what his owner Eileen had to say:

"We live in Phoenix, Arizona where Hot Spots happen often. Our baby Dunkin got his first one and we panicked on whether to take him to the vet immediately or if it was something we can try to help him feel better without the thousands in vet bills.

After reading reviews on this product we thought $20 is cheaper than a vet visit. let’s give it a try! So very thankful that we did. We have been using for 5 days and our fur baby is immensely better and the itching has stopped. The redness is nearly gone and it is healing fantastically.

(Before and After pictured) Side note: We learned small pats when applying works better than rubbing the product."
