Before and after comparison of heating pad burn wound with missing fur and visible infection with puss versus no more infection

Petunia's Infected Heating Pad Burn

Petunia is a small American Bully that was rescued shortly after giving birth to puppies. Unfortunately, during her time at the shelter, a heating pad had been left on her back, which created a burn wound that became infected.

Petunia's mom Michelle applied Lavengel® to the infected area and it cleared within days. Here's what she had to say:

"I noticed Petunia had a patch of fur missing on her back after I rescued her. The area seemed sensitive and she didn't want me to touch it. I later learned that it was a burn caused by a heating pad accidentally left on her for too long at the shelter.

I looked at the burn wound and saw it was red with a yellow ugly middle with pus. I had some Lavengel on hand so I gently applied it a couple times a day. The infection cleared up in a few days! Her fur is still thin in that spot due to the burn, but it definitely doesn't bother her any more! Lavengel is the BEST!!"

Bacterial infections, also known as pyoderma, are extremely common in burn wounds and a primary threat beyond the pain and scarring. Interestingly, the vast majority (over 90%) of all cases of pyoderma in dogs are caused by the bacterium Stapylococcus pseudintermedius.

Lavengel® boasts a U.S. patent for its ability to kill and inhibit the growth of the Staph family of bacteria, including Staph "pseudi," making it indispensible in wound care. Based on our data, it even boasts the same antibacterial capabilities as leading prescription antibiotics - at a much more friendly price tag.
