Before and after images of Lavengel healing redness and pyoderma infection between toes of English Bulldog

Chandler the Bulldog's Raw, Infected Paw

Chandler and her bulldog brother Walter can be found on Instagram: @walterenglishbulldog.

Chandler the English Bulldog’s paw became irritated and itchy from allergies, and she was licking and chewing at it constantly. As a result, a bacterial infection (pyoderma) developed, earning her a trip to the veterinarian, who prescribed oral meds and Animax® ointment.

Due to the risk of intestinal upset from licking the Animax® ointment, Chandler had to wear an e-collar to keep from licking. With her short bulldog neck, finding the right size can be difficult.

After trying several out, her mom found a better-fitting donut collar. However, progress was slow, and even with her new collar, Chandler had trouble sleeping.

With 2 weeks of consistent collars, Apoquel® oral meds, and Animax® ointment, Chandler’s paw showed minimal healing progress, so her mom decided to try Lavengel® instead. She had experience with Lavengel® in treating her other bulldog Walter's persistent allergy flare-ups.

Progress after 2 weeks of Apoquel and Animax® ointment

After switching from the expensive Animax® to Lavengel® (still on Apoquel®), she quickly noticed that Chandler seemed more relieved than before. With Lavengel® being safe to lick, Chandler was able to say goodbye to the e-collar donut, which was a great relief for all parties.

Two weeks after switching to Lavengel®, her infection cleared and her paw was healed. Now, Chandler is back to her normal, playful self.

Here's what her owner, Michelle had to say:

"The vet gave her antibiotics and a cream to put on her paw (Animax cream + Apoquel; 16mg per tablet, 8mg in morning and 8mg at night), and they said under no circumstances was she allowed to lick her paw and she had to wear an e-collar all day and night.

Also, I tried Lavengel originally, but vet said no and to use Animax.

Two weeks later, we went back to vet because as seen in pics above, still very very little progress.

I've rescued and fostered over a dozen bulldogs and dedicate all my free time reading about their needs, diets, allergies, etc. So then I was like, ok no, change of plan.

Why would I keep spending so much money on Animax when I’ve use Lavengel before with very successful results??

I still kept her on the Apoquel® they gave her, but I switched to the Lavengel and was able to take her donut off.

So, she became her happy perkier self immediately after I took her donut off [and got the] the best sleep of her life. And then this [photos above] is the progression of her paws with the same antibiotics + Lavengel + no donut or cone.

We love you all SO much and genuinely so grateful that you originally reached out first and for your product!!!" 🥰💕✨
